A DRAMA society has been nominated for three top awards.
Colne Engaine Dramatic Society received nominations in three categories of the 2015/16 North Essex Theatre Guild awards for A Tomb with a View.
The nominations are for set design/construction/dressing, the Lyndon trophy for technical achievement (sound effects) and The Cliff Hudson award for comedy, which Jan Kavanagh is in the running for.
Brenda Newman said: “We are immensely proud.
“We have had a few nominations, including one for our performance of Anne Frank a few years ago, but it is always an honour to be recognised.
“We go to a big awards evening in September to find out the results, which is always a great night regardless of whether we win or not.”
