A HALSTEAD mum dedicated her weekend to fundraising with two events in the name of charity.

Lucy Pye, 35, completed a skydive on Sunday to raise money for British Heart Foundation, as well as runninga ‘Smiley Booth’ photo booth event at Epping Tesco for British Heart Foundation and Diabetes UK.

The skydive has currently raised £240, while the photo booth raised £200.15.

The mum-of-three and childminder said: “The skydive was awesome, I really did enjoy it.

“I will definitely be doing it again, I am a bit of an adrenaline junky that way, but it is great that I can do something enjoyable and raise money for charity. “The Smiley Booth was a huge success, we were only there for three hours so I thought to raise £200 pound is impressive.

“I have only recently got into fundraising properly, but I am really enjoying it.

“I am keen to do some more fundraisers in the near future, it is fantastic to to be able to give something back.”

In the past, Lucy has taken part in a number of fundraising activities, including abseiling the O2 for Barnardo’s and it seems to have passed on to her children.

Earlier this year her daughter raised £800 by donating her hair to Little Princesses' Trust.
