WE all know why the Co-op company don’t want another super market in the town.
But a lot of people do need better choice and price for their family shop.
It would make sense to keep all the people who do their weekly shop in the town and maybe bring more in.
Whatever is built on this land will create traffic and some problems and not suit everyone.
But why is it every time a store tries to enter the town the barriers go up?
They say more houses are coming that will bring people who need jobs and shopping.
Surely it must be better to have more choice.
The Co-op are cutting food lines anyway so this mean less in their store.
Wake up councils, let Halstead progress to become a better shopping town.
If not, everyone will lose out.
