STUDENTS at Hedingham School took part in a 'Jump Rope for Heart' event in order to raise money for charity.
All Year Seven students took part in the skipping initiative that encourages boys and girls to take part in physical activity that is fun, rewarding and healthy.
All money raised will be donated to the British Heart Foundation and will be used to fund essential research into the causes and treatment of heart disease as well as to boost patient care and support.
All the students had to skip for the duration of their PE lesson to music, either in groups or individually.
As with any sport, competitive edge took over culminating in a number of student v teacher relay races.
With a number of students raising more than £100 individually, the school are optimistic about their fundraising total.
April Voller, 12, of Great Yeldham, said: "I have raised £80 so far and I am very pleased to have taken part because I like to help people."
