A HEDINGHAM School student claimed third spot in Bury St Edmunds' Got Talent after blowing away judges with her singing ability.

Year seven student Amber Brewster, from Great Yeldham, sung The Wizard and I from Wicked, wowing the judges at the Theatre Royal in Bury St Edmunds.

The 12-year-old qualified through heats at Conservatoire East before finishing third in the final where she was up against a wide range of acts from singers to musicians and dancers to comedians.

Amber said: "Wicked is my favourite musical and I really liked this song because it is so powerful.

"I didn’t even think I would get through the Heats so I was amazed to get third place in the final."

Amber loves singing and is a member of Theatretrain which she attends every Saturday.

Theatre train gives professional training in the Performing Arts for children and young people aged 6 to 18.

She will be performing a solo in September at the Royal Albert Hall and will also be going to Disneyland Paris to sing there next year.

Amber has been having singing lessons for a year and her ambition is to be a performer on the West End stage.
