A FIRE was started deliberately in a derelict building in Sible Hedingham this morning.
Fire crews were called to Church Street at 06:08.
Firefighters wearing breathing apparatus used two hose reel jets to extinguish the fire in the ground floor of the two-storey house by 07:08.
Three fire crews were called to the scene, one from Sible Hedingham, another from Wethersfield and a third from Halstead.
The Fire Service has recorded the incident as deliberate.
