GIRLS wore their best dresses and the boys shined their shoes as students from Hedingham School celebrated the arrival of summer.
Students in Year 12 and 13 at Hedingham school gathered to attend the annual Sixth Form Summer Ball held at The Fennes in Bocking last month.
The Georgian Manor House, set in tranquil surroundings, was a fitting venue for a special occasion.
Hannah Cushney, a 17-year-old student, said: “The event saw a variety of suave, classy suits and sophisticated, summery frocks, as well as some funky accessories.
“Fortunately, the rain held off for the majority of the evening allowing us to appreciate the beautiful gardens of the venue.
“After enjoying our two-course meal, all students took to the dance floor where some dubious boogieing occurred!”
