Halstead Sainsbury's have raised £850 for charity over the last year.
The money came from donations from staff and customers and the store presented Debbie Davis, CEO of Essex Dementia Care, with the cheque on Tuesday.
The store have been working in partnership with the local charity for a year and have supported them through fundraising and awareness-raising.
Jo Francis, store manager, said: “The team have really enjoyed working with Debbie and Essex Dementia Care as our local charity of the year.
"It is a great cause and I would like to thank all our colleagues and customers who have supported them as our local charity partner throughout the year.”
Since 2009, Sainsbury's stores, depots and store support centres have been partnering with a local charity to really make a positive difference to the community.
Debbie said: "I cannot thank the staff and customers of Sainsbury's Halstead enough for supporting us in such a generous way over the last year.
"There were lots of fundraising events put on by the staff and even a visit from Nelly the elephant the EDC mascot.
"The money raised will help us to make a difference in the lives of people living with dementia in this area."
Customers can now vote Instore or Online for the store's new local charity partner for 2016/17.
Voting closes on the 26th June 2016.
