The family of a 77-year-old woman who died in a car crash has paid tribute to her.

Jeanette "Jean" Harrison, of Clay Hills, in Pebmarsh, died following a two vehicle crash on the B1115 near Great Finborough on January 26.

Mrs Harrison died after the Vauxhall Astra she was a passenger in collided with a Range Rover around 2.40pm at the Water Run.

Her family said: “We are all completely devastated and shocked at the sudden tragic loss of Jean.

"She was the most wonderful wife, mum, nan, great nanny and a very dear friend to so many.

"She was the kind of person you could never forget once you had met her, so beautiful - both inside and out, so happy, always making people smile and laugh.

“Our Jean was the kindest, warmest, most caring and generous person.

"She adored children and was absolutely devoted to her three grandchildren and two great granddaughters, who loved her dearly.

“We have been overwhelmed with the support and wonderful words received from family and many of her friends - a testament to how much she was loved by everybody.

"She will be very sadly missed by all who knew her.

“We would like to express our sincere thanks to the police, paramedics, firefighters, air ambulance and doctors and staff at West Suffolk Hospital.

"They have all been so wonderful at what is such a difficult time for us.”

Funeral details will be released in due course but in the meantime any enquiries regarding this can be made to funeral directors Daniel Robinson and Sons on 01787 475533.
