A mum has been left feeling unsafe in her own home after thieves stole her son’s motocross bike.
The red Honda CRF250R Buildbase bike was stolen on Monday from a garage in Hilton Way, Sible Hedingham.
Ruth Berry, who has lived in Hilton Way for 27 years, said: “The police reckon it happened in the early hours of the morning.
“We never heard a thing - not even our dog woke up.”
They only discovered it when her husband, Chris, went to take the dog out the following morning for a walk and discovered the bike had been taken.
The bike, a limited edition which was worth about £8,000 was owned by her 19-year-old son Matthew.
“He bought it himself as a present in November,” she said.
“He had worked hard for it and only been on it twice.
“The people who stole it are scumbags."
**Any witnesses are asked to call police on 101
