Mum "overwhelmed" by genorosity for son's sensory garden
A mother has been left overwhelmed by people’s generosity for her disabled son’s sensory garden.
Seven-year-old William Martin has Angelman Syndrome, a genetic disorder that affects the nervous system and causes severe physical and intellectual disabilities.
It occurs in just one in 15,000 births.
He will require care for the rest of his life as he is unable to speak or walk, has seizures and only needs four hours’ sleep a night.
His mum, Kelly, 31, of Stanstead Place, Halstead, wants to make a sensory garden for him as currently he has no outdoor space which is suitable for him to play in.
She said: “He loves being outdoors."
