Residents have slammed plans to turn a road she has parked in for more than 40 years into permit holders only parking.
The North East Essex Parking Partnership (NEPP) is looking to make parking for permit holders only on most of Morley Road, in Halstead.
The proposals will also see part of Butler Road having permit parking as well.
Valerie Martin, 64, has lived on Head Street, in Halstead, in a house which has no parking with husband David for 40 years.
Since having a car, she has parked it in nearby Morley Road.
Valerie said: “Very few houses along Head Street have a drive as they were built when car ownership wasn’t very common.
“However, it is unfair that residents of Head Street haven’t been considered or given the option of getting a permit.
“Where are we supposed to park?
“This hasn’t been thought through at all.
“It is very unfair.”
