An Earls Colne woman enjoyed a unique opportunity to feature alongside Grayson Perry in a Channel Four documentary.
Grayson Perry’s Dream House, shown on Sunday, features a house designed by artist Perry called a House for Essex which was built in Wrabness.
The house is inspired by a fictional character called Julie who Chelmsford-born Perry created.
Perry created a rich back story for the character.
She was born in Canvey Island in 1953, married a man called Dave and they had two children before an affair ended their marriage.
She then married Rob and he made the house in her memory after she was knocked down and killed by a curry delivery driver in Colchester.
The two bedroom house supposedly contains items she accumulated throughout her fictional life.
As part of the programme, six women called Julie were found in nearby locations to be taken through Julie’s life by Grayson.
Gift shop worker Julie Moore-Dale, 55, was one of the woman to be chosen.
