Two men arrested after a man was found critically ill have been bailed.
A 30-year-old man from Halstead and a 27 year-old-man from Sudbury were arrested on suspicion of GBH yesterday after the man, in his 40s, was found in Butler Road with serious head injuries.
Police were called by the Ambulance service to Butler Road shortly after 2.30am on Saturday, February 28.
The man was taken to Broomfield Hospital and transferred to Queen's Hospital, Romford, for treatment where he remains in a critical condition.
The injured man is described as white, 6 ft 2 ins tall, with grey hair and wearing a blue Adidas top, black jacket, dark jeans and white trainers.
The men have been bailed until April 17.
