Generous youngsters raised hundreds of pounds for charity by dressing up and embarking on a coin trail.
Pupils at Gosfield Primary School, in The Street, Gosfield, raised £300 for Essex Air Ambulance and the Upbeat Heart Support Group.
The children dressed up in yellow and red for the day last Friday, sold biscuit and cakes at break time and followed a trail marked with silver coins.
The Essex Air Ambulance also hovered over the school to mark the Lift Up Your Heart day.
Deputy headteacher Karen De Pietro said: “The children in the school council decided they want to do a fundraising day for the two charities, it was lovely to see that the children wanted to do it.
“When the air ambulance came over the school, all the kids went outside and had a look - they loved it.
“All the children had a lovely time and it was such a treat for them.”
