Police are appealing for a key witness to come forward following a crash between a car and a single-decker bus.
The crash happened just before 6.15pm on December 16 by the Bulmer Fox pub on the A131 towards Sudbury.
The woman driver of the Vauxhall Astra involved had to be cut from the wreckage and was taken to Colchester General Hospital with serious leg injuries.
Police are appealing for the driver of a small four by four, similar to a Toyota RAV 4, to come forward as they may be a vital witness.
There were no passengers on the bus and the bus driver escaped unhurt.
The road was closed until 11pm while the vehicles were recovered.
