Four nurseries in the Braintree District have been rated “good” by OFSTED.
Acorn Children’s Centre, and Rainbow Children’s Centre, both in Halstead, and SeeSaw Children’s Centre and Carousel Children’s Centre both in Braintree, were given a group rating as they share leadership, management and services.
They scored “good” across all three standards when they were inspected in November, according to the report published in December.
The report reads: “This group is led and managed well. Good leadership from the centre group manager and governors means that families, especially the most vulnerable, receive good levels of care and guidance from staff and health specialists.
“Staff have successfully developed their skills because leaders encourage them to share their expertise and gain qualifications.”
However, the report points out that the centres could improve by tracking its impact on children more successfully and staff showing parents more effective ways to develop their children’s knowledge and skills.
No one from the nursery was available to comment.
