Plans to build more classrooms or a new primary school in Halstead to meet the rising number of children in the town might be too late, a headteacher has warned.

Essex County Council has been in talks with the three primary schools in the town about how they can best tackle the increasing numbers of places needed.

A headteacher says that plans to increase primary school places by either building a new school or expanding an existing one are overdue.
