Happy snappers from here and abroad took part in a photography club’s latest twin towns competition.
Halstead and District Photographic Society have held the contest for four years, the latest being on Thursday.
The competing clubs were Halstead, Colchester, Braintree, and their respective twin towns of Haubourdin, Wetzlar and Pierrefitte.
Organisers said the standard was the highest to date.
Adrian Stone, from Peterborough, judged the entries and the competition was sponsored by the London Camera Exchange of Colchester.
The winning club was Colchester’s German twin town Wetzlar, beating second placed Colchester on a tie-break photo.
Halstead came third.
See tomorrow's Halstead Gazette for more photos.
* Halstead and District Photographic Society meet on October 23 at the Methodist Church in New Street, Halstead at 7.15pm for 7.30pm. Visitors welcome.
