An irate customer got so fed up waiting for a water company to fix a leak in his street he took to Twitter to complain- and posted this picture to show how bad it was.
Media relations manager Lee Murphy contacted Anglian Water about the problem on Colne Road, Halstead, two weeks ago.
The company replied that it had to apply to Essex Council County three months in advance of carrying out works.
Mr Murphy posted the picture of the glass full of water he had collected from the leak and wrote: “Less than one min to collect this today. #waste.”
He copied the council in on the posts, which then confirmed Anglian Water could come and fix the leak as a matter of urgency.
