Friends actor Matt LeBlanc famously came unstuck after pretending to own a Porsche in the cult show.
But he crossed the pond to visit Castle Hedingham to enjoy a spectacle of the real article.
Mr LeBlanc, known for his role as dim-witted Joey Tribbiani in the American sitcom, visited Hedingham Castle less than two weeks ago to enjoy a parade of Porsches at the Classics at the Castle show.
Porsche fan Mr LeBlanc turned up at the castle on September 6 for a private dinner before enjoying the hundreds of sports cars on show in the grounds the next day.
Tarna Parish, 36, of Alexandra Road, Sible Hedingham, was stunned to see the American actor in the village when she attended the show with her daughter Emily, nine.
Mrs Parish, who is registered disabled, said: “I recognised him and we just stood with daft grins on our faces until he finished talking about Porsches with some people.
“He then approached us as he could see we recognised him."
