A fishing competition has reeled in more than £200 for charity.

The event was organised by Joseph Albon of Sudbury-based firm Delphi, in connection with the Halstead and Hedingham Angling Club of which he has been a member for many years.

It took place on Saturday at Halstead Reservoir, where the club has recently undertaken improvement works to rebuild the swims, or fishing spots, and to improve the paths around the lake which are used by dog walkers and ramblers.

Overall, the day raised £230 for Everyman, a charity to tackle the cancers which specifically attack men, such as testicular cancer.
