Halstead: Lucky Boy wins prestigious shire horse contest
A proud horse owner is celebrating victory in the "Premier League" of shire competitions.
Glenn Cass’ eight-year-old shire, Grovemere Lucky Boy, won the crème de la crème of accolades for a horse of its kind at the Shire Horse Society’s national spring show in Peterborough at the weekend.
It scooped top prize in the senior gelding class, as well as winning the overall gelding championship, being named Supreme Gelding Champion of 2013.
