A pub celebrated its re-opening after it was taken over by new owners.
The Griffin, in Parsonage Street, Halstead, has been bought by the owners of the Five Bells in Colne Engaine, who have also taken control of the Lion, in Earls Colne.
Having been revamped, the Griffin opened its doors under new ownership for the first time on Friday.
Pub spokesman Catherine Hales said: “It was really nice and busy - we had regulars from the Five Bells coming over, as well as lots of new faces from Halstead.
“It is going to be a drinkers’ pub and we are trying to work with other businesses and connect with people in the area.”
