A FIRE broke out in a car workshop in the early hours of this morning.

Two crews from Colchester fire station, one from Clacton and one from Tiptree were sent to the blaze at the workshop in London Road, Marks Tey, at 2.30am.

They spent more than an hour fighting the flames which were contained to a single unit.

The fire is being treated as suspicious.
