A solicitor has been getting into the Olympic spirit by volunteering at both the Olympics and Paralympics.

Alison Cantor, of Dynes Hall Road, Great Maplestead, has been based at the fencing warm up area at London’s ExCel centre.

The family law solicitor, who works for Thompson Smith and Puxon in Colchester and Clacton, said: “The Olympics was really enjoyable.

“The whole thing, just even from getting on the train and talking to other volunteers and getting there.

“Because I was working behind the scenes with the athletes it was all very interesting.”
