First published in News

Youngsters are hoping to improve the skatepark in the town.
Members of Halstead Youth Council have been visiting other skate sites including Sible Hedingham, Chelmsford and South Woodham Ferrers to gather ideas.
They presented ideas to Halstead Town councillors and are working on putting together a presentation of their plans for the skatepark in Ramsey Road.
Chairman Jake Peach said: “We are looking to renovate it and just have it as a choice for other people to become interested in.
“We hope it becomes sustainable.”
He mentioned ideas such as a skatebowl, jumps and ramps.
