Children were given a hands-on lesson about the dangers - and wonder - of electricity.
Volunteers from National Grid's East Anglia overhead line refurbishment project organised a "mad science" show at Colne Engaine Primary School.
Professor Kaos showed them static electricity stunts and plasma ball experiments and gave tips on being safe around construction sites.
Barry Cullimore, senior lands officer for National Grid, said: "It was fun to work with the children and hopefully we have shown them how interesting electricity can be."
