Halstead’s only secondary school is in special measures following an Ofsted report which demands improvement.
The report, which is at least three days overdue, indicates there are many improvements needed at Ramsey College.
Notley High headteacher Simon Thompson and a team of his teachers have been drafted in to tackle the problems but Essex County Council has refused to confirm this is part of the special measures put in place by Ofsted.
