Bus services part funded by council taxpayers are set to continue.
A number of Essex County Council contracted routes were up for review this year, including the Wednesday-only Service 23 from Steeple Bumpstead to Braintree, which was at risk because it cost the council more than £5 per passenger.
Bus operators will also be running two services in the district without the need for council funding from August 26.
These are the Saturday journeys on Service 89 from Braintree to Great Yeldham, to be operated by Hedingham Omnibuses and services 38 and 39 in Witham, operated by Stephensons of Essex.
New one year contracts are due to be awarded for 78 services, beginning on August 26, subject to clearance from the relevant cabinet member.
