A Mother would rather go to jail than send her disabled son to mainstream school.
Dani Gilbert Atkinson is furious her son Callum, who suffers from severe ADHD and high functioning autism, has been denied a place at a special needs secondary school.
Callum, 11, who currently attends Richard De Clare Primary School in Halstead needs constant one to one classroom support and a daily cocktail of medication including 102 mg of the sedative Ritalin and sleeping tablets.
But Essex County Council say his conditions are not serious enough for him to warrant a place at a special needs school and has allocated him a place at Ramsey College instead.
