A bank is launching a fund to help charities and projects in Halstead.

NatWest, which has a branch in the town’s High Street , has a £5,000 pot available.

Customers and residents can nominate a good cause or project by visiting the branch or visiting www.natwest.com/communityfund.

A panel of representatives from the bank, residents and community figures will select three finalists and the community will then be invited to vote for their favourite.

The most popular will get £3,000 and the two runners will each receive £1,000.
