Golf day raises thousands for air ambulance

Thousands of pounds were raised at sponsored charity golf day.

Greenfields Community Housing held its annual charity golf day at Gosfield Lake Golf Club on July 16.

This year the charity, chosen by residents, was Essex Air Ambulance.

There were 25 teams of four on the day.

These were made up of players from the golf club, Greenfields’ staff as well as representatives from the housing association’s partners.

Every team played a full round on the course, with the best three Stableford scores being totalled to find the winners.

A team from the club, named the Oompa Loompas, were the winners with a score of 122.

The Individual winner with a score of 42 points was Sean Robinson of Higgins Construction.

The day raised £3471.17.
