Shoppers are being urged to check their bank accounts after a cashpoint skimming device was found.
The device was found on a cash machine at Lloyds Bank in Halstead High Street.
It had been placed there sometime between 3pm on Tuesday and 3pm on Wednesday last week.
Police officers have seized the device and are now urging anyone who may have used the ATM in the days leading up to June 23 to check no fraudulent transactions have been made on their accounts.
