Halstead's CCTV system is finally up and running.
The four new cameras went live last week.
They will be monitored 24/7 at Causeway House in Braintree and can rotate by 360 degrees, tilt, pan and zoom.
They are located opposite Scenarios, outside The Bull Hotel, outside the old post office and in front of Hardy’s on Market Hill.
Steve Kirby, chairman of Halstead’s Chamber of Trade, said: “We’re pleased to see it’s finally up and running after all the hiccups."
