Farm buildings could be converted into an education centre if plans get the green light.

Chris Butler hopes to convert a tin barn and storage building at Greenstead Farm in Greenstead Green.

School children, the WI and other groups visit his farm and he said an education centre would give them a place to meet and somewhere for him to put up information.

It would also be a place where talks could be given.

He said the kitchen was currently very small and they provide a lot of meals for the farm shop.

Mr Butler said: “We’re also hoping to provide more home-cooked meals to take away, such as pies and cakes.”

He also hoped to include an office and store room in the conversion.
