A major town centre road was closed this morning due to a car fire.
A car was ablaze behind Balti Bhujon on Mill Road.
Reports say fire crews were in attendance and were forced to shut the road leading up to Maldon High Street.
Essex County Fire and Rescue confirmed they were called to a car fire shortly after 10.45am this morning.
A spokesperson said: "We were called to a car fire in Mill Road, Maldon today at 10.46am.
"On-call firefighters from Maldon attended and extinguished the fire by 11.17am.
"The cause has been recorded as accidental."
