A drama group has announced its pantomime for 2018.

Sudbury Dramatic Society will be performing Robin Hood at Quay Theatre when pantomime season kicks off this winter.

The show will be directed by Mike Fahie-Wilson who will also be writing the script alongside Bez Berry.

The duo will be working together having successful written the society's 2016 show, Treasure Island.

A spokesman said: "Our Robin Hood is a tale of heroes and villains, love, romance and adventure in Olde Suffolk.

"Not many people know that Maid Marion was a local lass nor that the wicked Sherriff of Nottingham and his evil mother had designs on our fair county."

The pantomime will first be performed at 7.30pm on Friday, December 15 and will run for more than two weeks, with the society offering a mix of matinee and evening performances. The last show will be held at 3pm on Monday, January 1.

Tickets cost £12 and are available to buy via The Quay Theatre box office.
