Care home residents will grab their wheelchairs and walking boots to take part in a sponsored trek around Earls Colne.
Colne House is encouraging both staff and residents to get involved with the 5km walk around the village in a bid to raise cash for the care home.
The proceeds raised from the event will go towards providing extra activities for those living at the home.
Large numbers of residents will be joined by family members who will help to push those participants who are wheelchair bound along.
The walk will begin at 10.30am on Friday, with the team setting off from the care home, in Station Road.
Administrator Helen Bragg said: "Last year we raised £400 which we spent on a big screen and projector for the home.
"We are hoping to top that amount this year and raise at least £500.
"We have a long term project to create a new seating area in the garden with raised flower beds and the money will go towards that."
She added: "Last year, loads of people stopped and asked what we were doing. I hope we get the same interest and support this time."
