A woman was assaulted following an argument in a street.

Essex Police is appealing for witnesses to the assault, which happened some time around 8pm on Saturday, July 7.

The victim, a woman in her 20s, was walking along Windmill Road, Halstead when she became involved in an argument with a man and another woman.

Following the heated exchange, the victim was assaulted.

The suspects are both said to be in their 20’s.

A spokesman for Essex Police added: “The woman is described as being white, around 5ft 2ins tall and had black hair. She wore a floral jumpsuit.

“The man was also white, had dark hair and stood at about 5ft 5ins. He wore blue jeans and was shirtless.”
