A field went up in flames near the Essex/ Suffolk border.
Firefighters from Halstead, Colchester and Sudbury were called to land off Colne Road yesterday where they found half of a 15 acre field alight.
Essex County Fire and Rescue Service confirmed the fire, which is thought to have started around 3pm, was fully extinguished an hour later.
The cause of the blaze is unknown.
