A charity which provides play and respite opportunities for disabled children and their families raised a record total with its popular annual fun day.

The PARC organised event raised more than £2,600, which will be used for the ongoing running costs of the life-changing charity.

A range of entertainment was on offer including bouncy castles, donkey rides, a BBQ and an ice cream van.

Guests enjoyed the glorious sunshine in the serene surroundings of Great Notley Country Park and enjoyed exploring a range of craft stalls.

Notley Green Women's Institute were on hand at the event to provide tea, cake and coffee to revellers whilst Lily's cafe offered people something a little stronger at the bar as well as making crepes and waffles.

Friederike Walter, events manager at PARC, said: "We are thrilled about the turn-out we had on our fun day.

"So many people came to see us and it was lovely to welcome everyone.

"We raised more than £2,600 which is more than ever before.

"Thank you to all who came and everyone who supported us."

The event took place on Sunday, June 24.
