A brand new family music festival will take place on Saturday.

The inaugural Heditude Music Festival will see an array of talented musicians and bands perform live at the home of Hedingham United, off Meadows Lane, in Sible Hedingham.

Among the six main acts which will be performing are original Celtic folk band, The Band From County Hell, Gorillah Radio, The Green Brothers, Tundra, Hargreaves and Amy Westney.

A second stage where solo artists and small acoustic bands will perform will also be set up.

All proceeds raised from the event will go to Hedingham United and the Essex and Herts Air Ambulance charity, which is based in Earls Colne.

A festival spokesman said: “Now that the details of the event have been finalised, we are seeing increasing support and enthusiasm from the local community.

“It’s going to be a great day out for families and a great showcase for musicians from the wider area.”

Tickets bought on the day will cost £12. Concessions are available for children and people aged over 65s.

The festival begins at midday and runs through until 9pm.

The final act will be on stage at 7.30pm.

A fully licensed bar and refreshments will be available.
