A developer has submitted fresh plans to build 25 new homes, right next to where 71 houses could be built.
Mark Jackson Planning is seeking outline planning permission to build a range of flats and houses at Blamsters Farm off Mount Hill, Halstead.
The plans were first submitted in October 2016 but numerous objections and complications has led to a revised proposal being submitted.
The development will include 16 one bedroom supported living units, and a mix of three to five bedroom houses.
Like Tesni Property’s 71 homes plans, the development would sit outside the settlement boundary.
An application for 70 homes to be built just to the north of site at Crowbridge Farm was rejected back in January for that reason.
Go Homes, who had submitted the plans, said it intended to return with a fresh bid.
The plans for the 25 new homes will be discussed at Monday night's Halstead Town Council meeting.
The meeting takes place from 7.15pm at Queen's Hall off Chipping Hill.
