A BYGONE era returned to Colne Valley railway station as re-enactors and hundreds of visitors descended for a special event.
Colne Valley at War saw the station be taken over by exhibitors, actors and wartime vehicles all with a Forties theme.
A remembrance service was held and Alison Stabler, one of the event organisers, said: “We had a very successful day with more than 300 people attending and we were very lucky with the weather.
“As always the service was very popular with both our visitors and re-enactors, as many find it poignant.”
