A COUNCILLOR has taken back his seat to serve two villages after more than two years away.
Tony Colbourne has been voted back onto Ramsey and Parkeston Parish Council.
He stood down from the role when he was serving as the Tendring councillor for the two parishes - but then lost that seat by one vote in the May 2015 election.
The 76-year-old said: "I lost my seat by one vote after 12 years.
"I just want to get back to helping people.
"I've really missed it."
Tony will replace Suzanne Howe on the council.
He added: "I don't think anyone can replace her, she was very good.
"She will be a hard one to follow."
Tony will be holding council surgeries on Sundays at the Castle pub in The Street, Ramsey from 12noon to 1.30pm and Parkeston Railway Club in Hamilton Street from 1.45pm to 4pm.
