Organisers are pressing ahead with plans for a village music festival set to take place this summer.

The six main acts for Heditude Music Festival have now been confirmed less than a month after the event was given the final go ahead from Braintree Council.

The Band From County Hell, Amy Westney, The Green Brothers and Gorillah Radio will be joining Tundra and Hargreaves in performing for an hour at a time during the event which will be held off Meadow Lane in Sible Hedingham on June 30.

Hargreaves, who specialise in country music, will begin the festival at noon while original Celtic folk band, The Band From County Hell, will close proceedings with a 90 minute performance. Though plans are being finalised for this year’s festival, organisers are already turning their attentions to staging a similar event next year.

A spokesman said: “We still want to hear from singersongwriters and acoustic acts, and from bands interested in playing at next year’s festival.

“We are also looking for volunteers to help with admittance/ticket management, car-park management, stagehands, stewarding and a variety of other roles.”

Tickets for the festival are due to go on sale on Tuesday, May 1.
