A care home will open its doors to the public for a family-friendly celebration.
Colne View Care Home, in Dame Mary Walk, Halstead, will host an open day as part of national Care Home Open Day, a countrywide scheme to create relationships between homes and the communities they are in.
There will be a Commonwealth themed party to celebrate the event and entertainment will include performances from clog dancers and Pearly King singer, Mickey Driver.
A costume parade by pupils at Richard de Clare and Holy Trinity Primary School will take place and children from Little Pickles and Halstead nurseries will join them.
There will be food and drink inspired by the commonwealth and a cake to celebrate Colne View’s sixth birthday.
