Residents are invited to meet their town councillors during an open day.
Halstead Town Council is hosting the event at its temporary home at Queen’s Hall, off Chipping Hill, in a bid to show the towns people what facilities are on offer.
Councillors will be present throughout the day to talk and answer any questions raised from members of the public.
A town council spokesman said: “Come along and see the newly refurbished town hall, meet your councillors and council staff and enjoy some complimentary tea, coffee and biscuits.”
“The hall is ideal for functions, private parties, classes and business events.”
An estimated £61,000 was spent on refurbishing the hall in September.
New kitchens and offices were two of several changes made.
The old permanent stage was replaced with a new retractable stage which is now available to hire.
The town council has also installed acoustic panels inside the main hall following complaints about sound problems from users.
It will take place on Thursday, April 12 from 1pm until 8pm.
