POLICE have renewed their appeal for information following a High Street stabbing.
The victim, a man in his twenties, was initially rushed to Colchester General Hospital with life threatening injuries after he was stabbed in the stomach with a screwdriver in the early hours of last Sunday.
He was later transferred to Addenbrooke’s Hospital in Cambridge for further care but fortunately has now been released from hospital and is continuing to recover at home.
The investigation into the incident is still ongoing.
Police have released a CCTV image of a man they want to speak to in connection with the incident.
They also ask for any witnesses who saw anything or who was in the area at the time to contact Colchester CID on 101 quoting reference 151 of March 18.

The incident happened at roughly 4.30am on Sunday.
The suspect who police want to trace is described as white, in his twenties and with short, mousey brown hair and of medium build.
After the attack, the man fled towards St Peter’s Street, Colchester.
